I love the adventure of backpacking into the wilderness, finding a quiet place to sit, and painting the vast landscape before me. Inspired by Tony Foster's work, I find it incredibly rewarding to capture a place I've worked so hard to reach. These moments of solitude, surrounded by nature, leave me feeling refreshed, invigorated, and endlessly inspired.
Lone Pine: Adventure With My Dad and Brother
In May 2026, I met my dad and brother in Lone Pine to backpack to Grass Lake in the Sierra Nevada. With just one night on our 10-mile round-trip hike, I painted quickly while they fished across the lake.
Big Pine: Adventure With My Sister and Two Besties
In September 2026, a group of four of us drove to Big Pine for a 10-mile day hike to Second Lake in the John Muir Wilderness. The view was one of the most breathtaking I’ve ever seen!
Ten Lakes: Adventure into Yosemite, Party of 5
In October 2026, four friends and I backpacked into Yosemite, laughing our way up a canyon to ten alpine lakes. We camped sheltered from the wind, and the next morning I painted while the boys explored the other lakes.
